He is also a versatile business professional with skills in the area of Brand Management, Marketing Communications, Business Communications, Strategy, and Customer Service. He has over 14 years cumulative work experience( as a consultant , trainer and an in-house practitioner) in different areas of business including Business development, Customer Service, Communications, Brand Management, Marketing, Media(Traditional & Social/Digital),Sponsorships, Events, Public Relations and Business Strategy.
A fellow of the Institute of Brand Management, Nigeria (IBMN), Seye is also an Associate Registered Practitioner of Advertising (arpa) of the Advertising Practitioner Council of Nigeria (APCON, member of the African Marketing Communications and Associate Member of the Customer Service Institute, USA. He has a second degree (Masters in Communications Studies with specialty in Advertising and Public Relations) at the Lagos State University (LASU) in addition to both Certificate and Diploma in Public Relations from the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a body which he is an associate member of. He is also a Member of Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN).
He is equally a Lecturer, Public Speaker, Facilitator, Trainer and Resource person; He has trained Staff of various organisations and facilitated Seminars at various occasions. He also wrote column on Branding in “Daily Times” asides writing numerous articles published on different platforms.
Seye started his career in Marketing communications with the Rosabel Leo-Burnett Group where he interacted with brands from different sectors and later joined CRM Limited, a Brand activation outfit based in Lagos. He also worked with Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc. where he rose to become the Head of Media/Public Relations unit under the Corporate Communications and Brand Management Department before leaving for Pragmatic Technologies Ltd. to take charge of its Brand Communications Department. He was also the Head of Brand Management and Communications for Hygeia HMO.
Seye is a Lecturer (Part time) at the Department of Mass Communication, Lagos State Polytechnic. He is also Faculty Member- African Franchise Institute (AFI) and Innovation Driven Entrepreneur Academy (IDEA). He is a Volunteer training facilitator for Fate Foundation, Knowledge Exchange Centre (KEC) among others. Keni Akintoye is a Digital Media and Communications consultant with proficiencies in PR, online reputation management, digital marketing, content development, journalism, project design, business development and creative writing. He has a Masters Degree in Communication Studies majoring in Public Relations and Advertising at the Lagos State University. He also attended the Harvard Business School’s Manage Mentor Program from where he obtained professional certificates in Business Communications, Corporate Strategy and Project Management.
He started in entertainment with an exciting career that ran concurrently with his undergraduate study at the Lagos State University, where he got a B.Sc. in Computer Science. However, the media and communications career took off when he joined advertising in 2004. His postgraduate study in Creative and Digital Media at the Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos, Nigeria helped him to further explore the field of visual communication, content and digital marketing. He has since worked with several media agencies in the field of PR, marketing, journalism, training and content for TV/film including some of Nigeria’s top reality TV productions.
In 2012, he wrote and directed a historic documentary film about the 60-year history of Nigeria at the Olympic Games. The film was screened at special events for the London 2012 Olympics earning appreciable local and international recognition.
Same year, he co-founded Concert Radio, the 24-hour online radio which was at the time Nigeria’s first ever 24/7 online radio. Asides overseeing the content strategy, Keni managed the corporate communications and cultivated major local and international partnerships with brands, foreign missions, NGOs and SMEs.
From there, he joined Channels Television where he co-led the digital media unit as Content Producer. In three years, he grew into an online news editor, leading major editorial decisions and managing content from bureaus across Nigeria and overseas. He left Channels TV for the international media group, Naspers Group as Content Producer and was part of the team that launched Nigeria’s first indigenous content aggregator driven by artificial intelligence – the Bounce News App. Asides the role at Naspers Group enabling him to exhibit his ability to exploit digital tools for marketing and multimedia journalism, Keni also handled major projects and led content partnerships, client relations, sales drives, productions and corporate relationships.
